Very few of us know that that these dogs are extremely sleek and well contoured and have a deep chest. They are amazingly flexible with a curved spine making them perfectly fit for the races.
The speed of the greyhounds is their greatest assets and is known to be extremely fast. They are totally meant for the racing tracks with their front legs being absolutely straight. The hindquarters are extremely powerful with muscular and powerful limbs making them strong and energetic. The long tail of the dogs is usually carried low with an interesting slight curve upwards that makes them perfectly fit for the races and their speed. They have a short smooth coat which is in several colors giving them an attractive look and often helping to distinguish the dogs when they are in the race tracks.
